Dr. Soner SOYLU received his PhD from Wye College, University of London, UK in 1998. Since September 1998, He is working as Professor at the Department of Plant Protection, Mustafa Kemal University, Agriculture Faculty. He has more than 26 years research experience and has guided MScâ€™s and PhDs in the field of Plant Pathology. He is the Principal Investigator of several externally funded projects in this area. He has published more than 90 research papers, book chapters and conference proceedings and contributed substantially towards natural antimicrobial agents such as plant essential oils and extracts, induced resistance against plant fungal and bacterial pathogens, biological control of fungal pathogens by using antagonist and PGPR bacteria, plant pathogen interactions and characterization of plant defense mechanisms. His work has been extensively cited and has been included among the â€œTop 10 Cited Papersâ€ in the particular journal category in the area of Agriculture Science. He has served as reviewer for more than 25 International Journals of repute published by Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis etc.
