Dr. J. de las Heras Romero is a recognized expert in the area of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery, Chief of reconstructive knee, foot and ankle unit at University General Reina Sofía Hospital and La Vega and Virgen de la Caridad private Hospitals in Murcia, Spain. He finished a Master’s Degree in Clinical Medicine Research at Elche Miguel Hernández University and a Masters Degree in Bioethics at the University of Murcia Medical School, where he finally received his Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine PhD. He is currently a lecturer at this University. He worked in the NHS England for 4 years after his MD, finalizing a basic training surgical rotation. Afterwards, he completed his surgical residency in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery (MIR) at the University Clinical Hospital of Valencia. Fellow member of the Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery Spanish Society (SECOT), Foot and Ankle Spanish Society (SEMCPT), Orthopaedic Sport Surgery Spanish Society, European Society of Sport Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and European Foot and Ankle Society (EFAS). Dr. de las Heras has authored numerous articles and book chapters in his field and he is the Director of Foot & Ankle Surgery Update Conference held annually in Murcia. He is also Editor of Orthopaedics, Traumatology and Sports Medicine International Journal (OTSMIJ), MOJ Orthopaedics & Rheumatology and EC Orthopaedics Journal, American journal of Orthopedics: Rheumatology, Advance Research on Foot & Ankle Journal Orthopedic Research Online Journal, Orthopedics and Rheumatology Open Access Journal (OROAJ) and Peertechz Journal of Orthopedics and Rheumatology. He is also Chairman of the World knee sport injuries, knee replacement and foot and ankle surgery. Congress on Rheumatology & Orthopedics held in Madrid, Spain.
