Sophie Yu

Sophie Yu graduated magna cum laude from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013, earning the Bachelor of Science in Economics with Concentrations in Finance and Health Care Management. She worked in buy-side leveraged finance in New York City and its surrounding metropolitan areas for four years. After a personal injury, she transitioned to Psychology to research risk/resilience, and has experience publishing on and/or working with caregivers and children across all SES, racial, and ethnic classifications in the USA. She is currently supervised by Dr. David C. Schwebel, Associate Dean for Research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham College of Arts and Sciences. Sophie Yu is a Certified Car Seat Technician, practicing through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Safe Kids Worldwide, and completing her training at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She has met all testing and work experience requirements to qualify for the CFA® designation. In her spare time, Sophie Yu provides pro bono advisory and invests through Pryor Capital LLP, of which she is the Founder and Managing Partner. Other personal interests include traveling, skiing, long-distance running, SoulCycle, and cooking. Sophie Yu presently resides in Montana, USA.
