Biography :
As. Lecturer of Urology
Menofia Faculty of Medicine and University Hospitals - Shebin Al Kom. November 2011 till now
I served as Trainee Urologist and Demonstrator of Urology, Menoufia Faculty of Medicine, Egypt. Nov. 2011 – Sep. 2012 and Assistant lecturer and attending urologist, Menoufia Faculty of Medicine, Egypt. Sep. 2012 – July 2014.
My mission included Inpatient care, urological surgeries, and outpatient care. Additional tasks included research and teaching activities. I was in charge of 6th-year medical students' rounds and evaluation. In my early career, I have participated in the advancement of the concept of minimally invasive treatment modalities in my local Urology department (Menoufia faculty of Medicine and University Hospitals, Shebin Al Kom, Egypt), which is located in a developing country where open is the role. I started my postgraduate science journey within a great team work; introduced PCNL and Endourology as an alternative to open surgeries. I started my thesis titled “Rationale of PCNL in the management of renal stones in Menoufia University Hospitals” with 3 PCNL cases/year at 2010 and ended up with over 80 cases/year at 2012. Within three years of outstanding efforts and challenges, our department offered 200+ PCNL/year and 1000+ minimally invasive Endourological procedure/year. To achieve this target and advance in procedures, I attended many educational courses and shared in the coordination of multiple meetings with experts to help to advance minimally invasive concept in my early practice and research.
