Biography :

Dr. Ahmed is an associate professor at Desert Research Center in Plant Pathology Research and Development. Dr. Ahmed obtained his MSc. (2006) and PhD (2010) through Sadat City University, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology "Plant Biotechnology", Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research, Inst., Egypt. also he has been working on a lot of plant pathogens with team works from Egypt, China, India, Russia, Korea and others. He was also a Visiting Scholar at Division of Bioresource Sciences, Kangwon National University, Chuncheon, Korea. Also as a visiting scholar at Amity Institute for Microbial Technology; Amity University, India. In national and international research projects, Ahmed is founder and supervisor of Nano-Phytopathology Laboratory, Desert Research Center, Egypt. 2018- now. In national scientific projects he is a PI of research project entitled “Isolation and Identification of Fungi and Bacteria from Different Egyptian Ecological habitats for Bio-pesticides production” funded from DRC-Egypt. He was member of two projects funded from Egyptian Academy of Sciences and Technology, 2015-2016. In intentional scientific cooperation he was PI of Egyptian–Korean cooperation research project entitled (Antifungal effects of nanoparticles against important plant pathogens), with research team from Kangwon National University (KNU), South Korea, funded from Science and technology Development Fund (STDF), Egyptian Academy of Sciences and (KNU), Korea Technology and, 2014-2016. Also, he was member and Reporter of Scientific Committee of UNCCD Egypt-Office from Feb. 2016 – 2018. Dr. Ahmed is a member of the Korean Society of Mycology and other Professional Societies. In recent five years Dr. Ahmed has published peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and served as reviewer and Editorial Board Member of several international academic journals.
