Born in Mityana Uganda 11/01/1951. I am currently Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Kabale University.2017 todate. I hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) 1975, Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics (Dip. Obst.)1977 and Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MMed) 1981 from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. I also hold a Master of Science in Design, Measurement and Evaluation in Health (majoring in Clinical Epidemiology)1991 from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ont. Canada. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from Uganda Management Institute (DIMA).2001 in Kampala. I have over thirty yearsâ€™ experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I have served in various capacities as clinician, teacher, manager, administrator, and researcher. I have been teaching research methodology, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Makerere University College of Health Sciences Kampala Uganda 1982-1996 as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, then again 2008-2011(Associate Professor). I was appointed full Professor Ob/Gyn Kabale University, Uganda 2017. In between university service I have served as Head, Department of Training, Resource and Information, (1996-1999) and subsequently CEO, Uganda National Drug Authority (1999-2003) and then Senior Consultant Obstetrician in Kadic Hospital Kampala (2004-2008) before re-joining university service in 2006. I have served as External Tutor in the Long Distance Course (MSc and Postgraduate Diploma) in Clinical Trials London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine 2008-2009; I have served as Part-time Professor in Uganda Christian University Mukono (Uganda) from 2013, mainly teaching research methodology and clinical epidemiology. In university and outside I have continued to carry out field and clinical research and teaching of research methodology to health workers. I have done peer review for African Health Science Journal.
