Biography :
Ioannis was born on 18th September 1995. He is currently a researcher at the department of Pharmaceutical Technology (AUTh). He has served as a community pharmacist and also as a hospital pharmacist for a year. As a researcher he has worked on formulation techniques (granulation, spray-drying, hot-melt extrusion HME, extrusion/spheronization, tableting of powders, filling of hard shell capsules etc), physico-chemical characterization techniques (shape, size, viscosity, wettability, angle of repose, flowability, thermal analysis, emulsion stability, mercury porosimetry etc), spectroscopic methods (ATR-FTIR, Raman, UV-Vis) and other studies (in-vitro dissolution, disintegration time, friability, tensile strength etc).

Powder technology, Unit operations, Solid-liquid interactions, Extrusion/spheronisation, Pelletization, Self-emulsification, Hot-melt extrusion, Nanodispersions, Biomaterials, Porous systems for controlled delivery, Probiotics, Essential oils, Experimental Designs and optimization.
